We are rhythmic creatures, from our circulatory system to experiencing the seasons. Our sense of rhythm informs our ability to transition through the day to different activities. When we have a strong rhythm in place, it also helps us to feel safe and secure in our space. Rhythm is at the foundation of our time at Riverwood.

Anthroposophy (“wisdom of the human being”) is the body of spiritual teaching that underlies Waldorf Education, and is at the foundation of our Curative Educational practices held only by the educators. It is not taught to the students.

Education that is inspired by Waldorf is world-wide. Each educational facility will have its own unique aspects, but the foundation of most are rooted in the work of Rudolf Steiner.
“Our highest endeavor must be to develop free human beings who are able of themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives. The need for imagination, a sense of truth, and a feeling of responsibility - these three forces or the very nerve of education.” Rudolf Steiner
